Momma Post: Well the food at Rose's Homemade Ice Cream on NE 42nd isn't much to speak of, but the homemade ice cream is divine. We took the girls out for a "date" on Valentines Day evening. Ruby is pictured here with her choice...bubble gum flavored ice cream with one real blue gum ball surprise under a few licks. The homey joint was perfect for Willa and her need to run around. Both girls took ample time viewing all the 25 or so ice cream flavors and delighted in us reading off the potential selections. Ruby did a great job announcing her desire to use the potty and then informed the room of her success afterwards. While not the most relaxing (a beer helped Matt), it was a simple, special occasion to treasure....Valentines Day 2009.
