Momma Post: Big news, this evening Willa crawled forward more than 5-feet across the rug in the living room five times. I kept moving her back to her starting point just to see her do it again. Willa was fixated on the "bucking bronco" or rocking horse and was determined to share in Ruby's pony ride. Oddly, I swear she was almost
nonchalant about the whole thing...like she's been crawling for years.
Other things to note:
- Willa's a biter and likes to munch on pant legs, shoulders and fingers.
- She's going through a separation anxiety phase, crying when left at school and throughout the evening until either parent rocks her back to sleep, often ending up in bed with us (see pictures).
- When she's happy, her legs kick up and down with gusto. Willa's a very smiley baby with dimples to boot, but, boy when she's mad, watch out!
- This past week she began talking in bah bah speak, which Ruby will imitate.
- Willa loves carrots and prefers to jam a spoon in her mouth. I holds one spoon that does the actual feeding, while Willa hold her own for gumming or waving.
- Willa likes crinkling up paper in her fists, especially newspaper that's being read.
- Amazingly, we're still using the Bjorn with her and she quietly takes in the world during walks.
