Jackson County Jaunt

Momma Post: We just returned from a trip to Southern Oregon inbetween the snow fall, which offered a picturesque drive down the powder sugar coated Willamette Valley. We stayed with my grandparents Jack and Martha and enjoyed the TLC they always provide. Ruby was completely won over by Grandma's fantastic toy box, especially the pink car that produced music/noise on demand (thank God we don't have this toy at home). This weekend completely "went to the dogs" in a positive sense. Ruby loved and couldn't get enough of Gracie (Gma/Gpa's Corgie) and Robbie (Uncle Tom's Rott/Shepard mix). Grandpa Doyle's friend Georgia brought over her Poodle named Molly and Ruby tried to make friends with her, too. We also visited with our college friends Ryan and Maisie and their boys Aidan and Dylan. Aidan is very social and great at sharing his toys. Dylan is very affectionate and a sweet, confident boy.

An exciting turn of eventa for me...Ruby said "mama" for the first time and repeated it throughout the weekend. I'm not sure if the meaning is understood, but it warms my heart regardless.

Daddy Post: As you can tell by the first picture, Georgia and her dog Molly revealed their true colors. Fortunately, Ruby escaped from this nefarious duo unscathed.
