Momma Post: As you can see, Ruby has no problem climbing over any obstacle, bathtubs included. Last Thursday I caught her hurdling the tub edge unscathed. Just a reminder that her abilities shouldn't be second guessed. This goes for the toilet, too, which so far hasn't sparked any interest. Ruby has been turning on the water with full understanding of the faucets, both upstairs and down. Amazing how we hear the water running, when out the corner of our eye we see a toddler slip into the loo. Recently both Matt and I have commented that this parenthood thing is truly a full-time job.
Ruby's teething this week. A third tooth on the bottom gum is causing couch biting and gnawing on wooden blocks. A tooth on the upper gum is also apparent, but hasn't broken through for almost six teeth total. Bedtime has been most affected by extended fussiness and periodic waking. We are changing her shirts each afternoon to address excessive drool as well. Matt insists that this behavior notes a high level of concentration. It reminds me of the story where Matt and his brother Mark drooled into the cookie dough while assisting Grandma Alice with the stiring.
